COUNTERFEIT WATCHES ONLINE. MEASURING CONSUMER AWARENESS & BEHAVIOUR

FEATURED SPEAKER
Maysa Razav, Head of Anti Counterfeit for INTA

Who's this for?

The watch industry is one of the most affected by counterfeits. We conducted a survey to find out more about consumers' buying habits and product evaluation techniques. Here are some of our key findings:

IN THIS DOCUMENT WE COVER

20% of watch customers have bought a counterfeit online

Out of those, 7% did so by mistake, while the other 13% did so either knowingly or suspecting the item was fake.

30% of customers would pay half of the official RRP or more for a fake watch.

65% of those who had bought a fake watch online were satisfied to some extent with their purchase.

Many think it is the brand owner's responsibility to remove fake items from online marketplaces.
