A more optimistic LIBER 2015, with better intentions (2/2)

Posted by Marc Gassó on Friday, Oct 16, 2015

It is in this context where Red Points presents the novelties in pro-active protection of publishing contents on Internet. We quickly understood that it was neither operative nor efficient to use legal tools in the “offline” world as an attempt to placate a purely digital Internet problem. For this reason, we have always centered all our efforts upon developing a digital platform with a legal basis that allows us to locate, document, mitigate and report any incidence related to illegal or unlawful contents on Internet.
Our goal is to make it impossible for any book or editorial content to be illegally found and available for downloading or reading on the Internet. We want to offer publishing companies and writers the chance to decide where and when their titles may be found, and most importantly to keep anyone from making profits from their work. We want to help them avoid losses derived from the constant profit of these operations, and we want to protect the trust placed in us by all those readers who have already bought their books and who loyally pay for their content.

Our service career with large publishing groups and our high volume of resolved incidents allow us to further develop the efficiency of our platform every month, and to reduce the time needed to locate and mitigate incidents. Additionally, and in line with our goal of living up to our clients’ expectations, all the activity that takes place at our platforms may be tracked in real time with a username and password access, and with an Internet connection.

At Liber 2015, Red Points consolidated its status as the best option for all writers, publishing companies and publishing groups that wish to control illegal Internet downloads, thus ensuring a favorable growth in the digital world.

The result for Red Points at the book fair was more than satisfactory. We collected leads from over 70 potential clients as well as 20 pre-sales of protection services for publishing contents on Internet. We also collected very interesting feedback from sector experts and opened the way to new considerations regarding the future evolution of this market, especially in a digital environment, and how this transformation must be based on protecting and controlling assets.

At Red Points we will continue working to offer a service that meets the always demanding expectations of our clients in the publishing sector, and especially developing and adapting our technology to the new formats and ways that digital market demands. We will always strive to be the best partner in the fight against digital piracy.
